Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is seeking a full-time Skilled Laborer Apprentice in Hawaii to join our nationwide tank construction team. You will perform non-welded tank work, inspections, and installations on above-ground storage tanks, while following drawings and safety plans.

We value communication, reliability, willingness to learn, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The role offers on-site work with safety training, benefits, and room for growth within a growing company.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be eligible to work in the United States.
• Be willing to authorize background checks.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Be willing to submit to drug and alcohol testing.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Communicate well and stay organized.
• Welding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular job tasks regarding above-ground storage tank seal and dome installation, inspection, and repair.
• Install, inspect, and repair above-ground storage tanks.
• Operate safety equipment including fall protection, atmospheric monitors, and respiratory protection.
• Operate all tools on the job site including power tools, air tools, and testing equipment.
• Setup and operate generators and air compressors.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operations including forklifts, skid steers, and aerial lifts.
• Understand and follow drawing packages, technical documents, and safe work plans.
• Care for and maintain tooling and equipment.
• Assist in receiving, inspecting, and inventorying materials.
• Maintain a clean and orderly job site.
• Complete job safety analyses, safety audits, site-specific training, and other safety training.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are currently looking to hire a full-time Skilled Laborer Apprentice

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform regular job tasks regarding above-ground storage tank seal and dome installation, inspection, and repair. Non-welded tank apparatus installation, inspection, and repair
• Become Confined Space Rescue trained through PTS's in-house training
• Install, inspect, and repair above-ground storage tanks
• Operate safety equipment including, fall protection, atmospheric monitors, and respiratory protection
• Operate all tools on the job site including power tools, air tools, and testing equipment
• Setup and operate generators and air compressors
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operations including forklifts, skid steers, and aerial lifts
• Understand and follow drawing packages, technical documents, and safe work plans
• Understand and assist in the care and maintenance of all tooling, equipment
• Assist in receiving, inspecting, and inventorying all material.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly job site
• Completing job safety analysis, safety audits, site-specific training, and other safety training.
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to weld is a plus.
