Job Responsibilities:

• Measuring distance from grade stakes, driving stakes, and stretching tight lines.
• Bolting, nailing, aligning, and blocking up under forms.
• Signaling operators of construction or asphalt equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade specifications.
• Leveling earth or asphalt to grade specifications using picks, shovels, and rakes.
• Mixing concrete and applying caulking compounds.
• Sawing lumber, dismantling forms, removing projections from concrete, and mounting pipe hangers.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to frequently lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, bend, crouch, or walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to climb on and off equipment.
• Work is outdoors in Florida heat and rain, around heavy highway traffic, typically 10 hours per day, 5 (occasionally 6) days a week.
