Job summary

Crothall Healthcare is hiring a Commercial Facilities Painter for ThedaCare on the 1st shift. The role involves installing and maintaining interior and exterior finishes, traveling to multiple sites within an hour’s radius, and working 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional 2nd shift or weekend work.

The position requires 1 year of trade school or 5 years of painting experience in a comparable institution, and involves lifting equipment and exposure to heat, noise, dust, and infection

Qualifications

• 1 year of trade school or 5 years of experience as a commercial Painter in a similar sized institution.
• Some lifting of medium and/or heavy equipment and tools.
• Some exposure to extreme degrees of heat, noise, dust and dirt areas requiring infection control.

Responsibilities

• Selects proper tools and equipment including paints, brushes, rollers, spray guns, drop cloths, rags, ladders, scaffolds, tape, cleaning materials.
• Mixes paints to match specific colors by blending pigments and thinners.
• Transports material and equipment to the job site or arranges for transport of heavy or bulky items.
• Prepares site by covering furniture, equipment and floors with drop cloths and masking areas as required.
• Prepares surfaces including cleaning, minor repair and patching of metals, wood, masonry, and polishing as necessary.
• Caulks, sands, tapes, applies finishes and color matches as necessary.
