Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's Northridge Hospital Medical Center in the Los Angeles area is seeking a Skilled Facility Associate to keep facilities safe and functional. You will perform routine maintenance, support Facilities Management staff, and help repair structures, equipment, fixtures, and grounds.

Candidates should have general maintenance skills, dependability, safety awareness, and at least two years in commercial/hospital trades in electrical, plumbing, HVAC controls, carpentry, furniture

Qualifications

• Knowledge in hospital facility repair and maintenance operations.
• Fire Safety training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Work from written requisitions or verbal instructions.
• Determines whether repair or replacement is necessary and prioritizes.
• Notify supervisor of any problems or delays in projects.
• Report defective materials, faulty operation of equipment, and unusual matters to supervisor and appropriate personnel.
• Report any violation of OSHA regulations to supervisor.
• Audits preventive maintenance schedule and ensures PMs are performed regularly per the calendar.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Skilled Facility Associate, you will perform routine maintenance and help Facilities Management staff repair and maintain structures, equipment, fixtures, and grounds. Every day you will complete maintenance assignments and support the team. To be successful in this role, you must bring general maintenance skills, dependability, and safety awareness.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Graduate or GED
• Minimum 2 years in commercial/hospital trades with knowledge in hospital facility repair and maintenance operations required in one of the following fields; electrical, plumbing, HVAC controls, carpentry, furniture repair and assembly or texture and painting
• Fire Safety, within 90 Days

Preferred

• Two years' experience as a Journeyman
