Job description

Overview

As a Skilled Electrician (Electrician A), you will be a member of the department’s operating team and will be responsible for operating/using complex electrical tools, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment.

Pay Range: $35.78 to $45.14 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems and equipment.
• Work from circuit diagrams and SOPs and recommend alterations to the Lead Electrician or other departmental personnel.
• Recognize operational irregularities on equipment or processes, determine the cause, and take appropriate corrective actions.
• Assist the Lead Electrician with training departmental personnel, apprentices, co‑ops, and 2‑year‑old trainees.
• Assume the duties of Lead Electrician when absent.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2‑year degree in electrical controls or electronics.
• At least 2 years of Industrial Electrician experience.
• At least 5 years of industrial electrical maintenance work or relevant military experience.
• Completion of a four‑year approved apprentice program also considered.
• Shift work is mandatory.
• Export compliance eligibility as outlined by ITAR/EAR (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, etc.).
