The Council on Aging (COA) is seeking a detail-oriented drywall finisher to seal joints, repair cracks, and smooth surfaces ready for final treatment. You will ensure safe handling of supplies and maintain high quality work while meeting deadlines at our Columbus, OH location.

Successful candidates will perform tasks efficiently, read blueprints, and communicate progress to supervisors, while upholding safety guidelines and providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as a drywall finisher.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of drywall finishing tools and methods.
• Ability to interpret construction blueprints.
• Knowledge of safety guidelines.
• Basic math skills.
• Good problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Physically fit and able to work long hours.
• Veteran Friendly.

Responsabilités

• Join drywall panels using tape and plaster.
• Repair cracks and damage to drywall panels.
• Conceal imperfections or irregularities in the drywall surface.
• Layer plaster or spackle with trowels to create a flat surface.
• Sand rough areas to create a smooth surface.
• Skim the surface with a final plaster layer for finishing.
• Maintain and manage all required equipment.
• Keep supervisor informed of progress and issues.
• Ensure safe and effective use of all equipment and materials.
