Job summary

H.P. Cummings Construction Company is seeking a skilled Carpenter to construct and repair building frameworks and structures using wood and metal. Responsibilities include following blueprints, installing millwork, doors, and fixtures, and collaborating with a team on site.

Pay ranges from $24 to $32 per hour with standard hours from 7:00am to 3:30pm. Candidates should have at least two years of commercial carpentry experience, read blueprints, and be able to travel to jobsites as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of commercial carpentry.
• Metal & Wood framing.
• Drywall installation experience.
• Millwork and casework installation experience.
• Doors, frames, and hardware installation.
• Must be able to travel to the jobsite(s) as assigned.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Proficient at reading blueprints, or ability to learn.

Responsibilities

• Follow blueprints and building plans to meet client needs.
• Construct and install structures and fixtures.
• Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, and other materials.
• Build building framework including walls, floors, and doorframes; assist with erecting and installing framework.
