Job description

Position Title: CNC Machinist

Wage: $25-$46/hour

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 2pm-10pm M-F

QPS Employment Group is hiring a CNC Machinist for a company in Richfield, WI. This is a direct hire opportunity.

CNC Machinist Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Perform safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
2. Observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining conditions
3. Operate and maintain machines according to work instructions
4. Program toolpaths with CAM software
5. Operate and program 5-axis CNC machine tool
6. Take precise measurements to verify program accuracy
7. Monitor and develop speed, feed, depth, and/or angle of cut during machining operations
8. Maintain clean work area and machine daily
9. Maintain workflow between shifts by documenting and communicating actions

CNC Machinist Requirements:

1. High school degree or equivalent
2. Apprenticeship or vocational training
3. Powermill experience
4. 5+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist
5. Previous experience with machining various exotic materials and specialty tooling
6. CAM software experience
7. GD&T experience
8. Working knowledge of safety protocols
9. Strong attention to detail and self-motivation
10. Strong understanding of mathematics
11. Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor
12. Exert 1 to 25 pounds of force 75% of the time
13. Exert 26 to 50 pounds of force 20% of the time
14. Exert over 50 pounds of force 5% of the time
15. Ability to read machine dial gages, blueprints, precision measuring instruments, and computer screens
16. Ability to read and understand sketches, routings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English
17. Effective communication with employees
