Job summary

Crossland Heavy Contractors, Inc. is seeking a hardworking construction laborer based in Junction City, KS. The role involves outdoor work, lifting, and assisting skilled trades with concrete formwork, scaffolding, carpentry, and material handling on project sites.

The candidate must be able to work at heights, follow safety rules, pass a drug screen, and cooperate with a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• This position is physically demanding and outdoors work is required.
• Drug screen, physical and criminal background check are required.
• Team-oriented and able to follow safety rules on site.

Responsibilities

• Constructs forms and chutes for pouring concrete
• Erects scaffolding and ladders
• Constructs, erects, installs and repairs structures and fixtures of wood, plywood and wallboard using hand tools and power tools
• Prepares layout using rule, framing square and calipers
• Marks cutting and assembly lines on materials
• Verifies trueness of structure with plumb bob and carpenter’s level
• Erects framework for structures and lays subflooring
• Builds stairs and lays out and installs partitions and cabinet work
• May remove and replace sections of structures prior to and after insulation installation
