Job summary

Americon Construction, LLC in Wisconsin seeks skilled carpenters and foremen for Sheboygan and surrounding areas. This hourly, full-time role focuses on quality construction carpentry at active job sites.

Expect a Monday-Thursday 7:00-16:30/17:00 schedule with Friday 7:00-11:00, travel between sites is required and mileage is paid. HS diploma or GED and 1–2 years of carpentry experience preferred; willingness to learn and adhere to safety rules.

Hourly Position: Full Time

Reports To: Job Foreman or Superintendent, Construction Manager

Objective of Position: To perform quality construction carpentry as required at the job site.

We do not sponsor Employment Visa's

Education & Experience: A HS diploma or GED is preferred. Carpentry Team Members must be able to demonstrate carpentry skill knowledge by performance. Minimum of 1 to 2 years of prior carpentry experience along with secondary education or certifications are an added preference.

• Ability to travel from site to site is required. Mileage paid.


• Ability to follow direction and work well with others is essential.


• Carpenters must qualify in knowledge of generally accepted carpentry practices. Skills must be proven prior to independent performance on the job site.


• Carpentry staff is required to follow all training and safety rules.


• Ability to share knowledge, experience and skill with others is expected.


• Must have excellent communication skills with the customer, work associates and management.


• Must be willing and able to learn skills that may be required to complete a job.

Work Environment

Typical day will be 9 hours, 4 days plus 4hrs on Friday (full time-40hrs/wk).

Physical Requirements

Degree: Physical work-lifting frequently and/or carrying objects weighing up to 30 pounds. May occasionally lift up to 50 pounds or more. Person must be physically fit and able to perform the typical requirements of an active carpenter daily. Typical requirements in an 8-9 hour day: A. Stand/Walk: 6-8 hours B. Frequently bend, squat 31-80% of the time
