Marquardt of Barrington GMC is seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our family-owned service department. You will perform repairs, validate diagnostics, and communicate findings with the team to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Some prior technical experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform work and execute repairs as outlined on repair order accurately and efficiently in accordance with dealer and factory standards.
• Test drive vehicles, test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special equipment.
• Ability to properly diagnose and repair customer concerns correctly the first time.
• Document all work performed.
• Communicate diagnosis and repair time frame to Service Advisor in order to keep the customer updated.
• Communicates any additional work needed directly with the Service Advisor
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
