Job summary

Ducommun Incorporated in Parsons, KS, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing facility by maintaining equipment, inspecting machinery, and repairing components to keep production running safely and efficiently.

The role requires reading schematics, operating a forklift and overhead crane, and following safety policies for hazardous waste and lockout/tagout. Overtime may be required to meet manufacturing demands.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret schematics.
• Operate forklift safely.
• Operate overhead crane and hoist.
• Follow safety policies (Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space).
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Team-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Basic computer skills to learn screens and reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintain preventative maintenance database for facility.
• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
• Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to diagnose problems.
• Dismantle defective machines and install parts.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts.
• Maintain pipe systems and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
• Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
• Fabricate and repair benches, partitions and other wooden structures.
• Handle hazardous waste per policy and safety requirements.
• Overtime as required to support manufacturing.
• Perform other duties as directed.
