Job summary

CSI in Springfield, MO is seeking a Designer 2 – Skids to design and develop custom skidded process equipment from concept through fabrication. You will create detailed 3D models, BOMs, and fabrication drawings, collaborating with engineering, project management, and customers to deliver manufacturable solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum four (4) years of experience using Autodesk Inventor for mechanical design and 3D modeling.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience using Autodesk Vault Professional for document management and revision control.
• Experience designing custom mechanical equipment, skidded systems, or fabricated assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop detailed 3D models, fabrication drawings, and BOMs for custom skidded equipment.
• Independently manage multiple skid design projects from concept through fabrication release.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and customers to resolve challenges.
• Apply fabrication methods, electrical/instrumentation integration, and industry codes.
• Mentor Designer 1 and contribute to continuous improvement in design practices.
