Job summary

Magnum Paving LLC is seeking a skilled Skid Steer Operator to join our team in Villa Rica, GA. The ideal candidate will operate skid steer loaders for site preparation, material handling, and general maintenance while following safety protocols and communicating effectively with crew members.

Responsibilities include using various attachments, performing pre-operational checks, and maintaining equipment and logs. Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required as part of this role.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Thorough operational knowledge and skills of related equipment to be operated.
• MUST have 3 years previous experience.
• Pass pre-employment screen and criminal background check.
• Be willing to work holidays, weekends and overtime as needed.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas.
• Great attention to detail and stress tolerance.
• 2-5 years experienced as skid steer operator or any related job in a construction or mining industry.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate skid steer loaders to perform tasks such as lifting, loading, and moving materials.
• Use attachments (buckets, forks, augers) to accomplish different tasks.
• Prepare sites by clearing debris and grading the ground.
• Maintain equipment, ensuring it is clean, fueled, and functioning properly.
• Load and unload materials from trucks or other transportation vehicles.
• Transport materials around the job site.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct pre-operational checks and report any issues or malfunctions.
• Coordinate with other workers and supervisors to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Communicate progress, issues, and any necessary adjustments.
• Maintain logs or reports of equipment usage, maintenance, and incidents.
