Job summary

Alt's Operation in Verona, WI is seeking a seasonal Skid Steer Operator for snow removal. You will clear commercial and residential lots, push and load snow, and work through each storm to keep drive lanes open. Expect on-call hours, nights, weekends, and long shifts during snow events.

Uniforms and PPE are provided; overtime is paid for hours over 40 in a week, with potential transition to full-time benefits as the team grows.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a skid steer or compact loader, ideally in snow removal or construction.
• Valid driver's license; motor vehicle record will be reviewed.
• Ability to work in tight spaces around vehicles and pedestrians, including low visibility.
• Seasonal winter role with on-call storm response: nights, weekends, holidays, and long shifts when snow hits.
• Dependability when forecast turns; operators keep the biggest lots open.
• Physical stamina to work long, on-call shifts outdoors in cold, snow and ice.

Skid Steer Operator for Snow Removal | $32–$38/hr

Run a skid steer clearing commercial lots storm after storm, earn strong winter pay, and turn one strong season into year-round skid steer work.

What You'll Own

1. Clear commercial and residential lots by running a skid steer to push, stack, and load snow the moment a storm hits.

2. Work clean in tight spaces, maneuvering around parked cars, islands, curbs, and pedestrians without a scratch.

What You Bring

• Prior experience operating a skid steer or compact loader, ideally in snow removal or construction.
• A valid driver's license (your motor vehicle record will be reviewed).
• Confidence working in tight commercial lots around vehicles and pedestrians, including in low visibility.
• This is a seasonal winter role (roughly November through April) with on-call storm response: nights, weekends, holidays, and long shifts when snow hits. We aim to clear our properties within about 12 hours of a storm, so when it snows, we need you ready.
• Dependability when the forecast turns. Operators keep the biggest lots open, so we count on you to show.
• The physical stamina to work long, on-call shifts outdoors in cold, snow, and ice, climbing in and out of the machine through the storm.
