Job description

SketchDeck is building the model for the next generation of creative agencies. Through a combination of technology, partnership, and a global talent community, SketchDeck gives marketers access to quality creative on demand. We work with clients from startups to well-known enterprise brands such as Dropbox, Rémy Cointreau, and Asana.

At SketchDeck, our global community is united by our values. Together, we commit to:

  • Work as a team
  • Act with humility
  • Take ownership
  • Have heart

As a remote-first company, these core values serve as the operating principles for our daily behaviors. They are more to us than a few feel‑good mantras. Being a SketchDecker means you hold yourself and others accountable for preserving and progressing our culture.

About the Role

As our Senior Program Manager, you will lead major creative programs and serve as the primary point of contact for clients. You’ll oversee brand, campaign, and multi‑workstream initiatives—guiding clients through strategy, feedback, decision‑making, and ensuring structured, thoughtful, and consistent delivery.

This role is ideal for someone who has been both the PM and the AM inside an agency—someone who thrives in leading delivery and client partnership side by side, and who brings clarity, calm, and leadership to every engagement.

This position reports to the Senior Account Director of Client Services.

What Success Looks Like

Clients trust you as their day‑to‑day partner. You bring clarity, support decision‑making, and strengthen relationships through proactive communication and dependable follow‑through.

High‑quality creative work delivered smoothly

You lead complex creative programs—often $25K-$150K+—ensuring work is aligned, on time, on budget, and strategically grounded.

Strong collaboration and empowered teams

Creative, Strategy, Content, and Design teams feel supported and informed. You create clarity, ensure alignment, and help others do their best work.

Healthy accounts with measurable growth

You retain and grow accounts through consistent performance—turning large programs into ongoing partnerships and identifying opportunities rooted in client needs.

Ownership of financial performance

Your portfolio (~$1.8M-$2M annually) is managed with discipline: clear scopes, accurate resourcing, strong communication, and consistent delivery against margin and satisfaction targets.

What You’ll Do
Project & Program Management
  • Lead a portfolio of premium creative programs across brand, digital, social, events, executive communications, sales enablement, and more.
  • Guide intake and scoping conversations; build structured timelines, budgets, and deliverable frameworks.
  • Partner with Creative Directors, Strategists, and Design teams to shape project vision and ensure alignment.
  • Review creative work for quality, accuracy, and brand and strategic alignment.
  • Manage cross‑functional timelines, resources, and communication to keep teams aligned and informed.
  • Anticipate risks and navigate challenges through grounded, solution‑oriented communication.
Client Partnership & Growth
  • Act as the primary strategic partner for enterprise and Fortune 500 clients.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews and long‑term planning with senior stakeholders.
  • Understand client goals to anticipate needs and identify new opportunities for impact.
  • Collaborate with business development teams to scope, propose, and secure new work.
  • Oversee renewals, upsells, and satisfaction metrics with clarity and confidence.
  • Respond thoughtfully and strategically to client ideas, feedback, and requests in real time.
  • Mentor and guide 1-2 Project Managers, supporting their growth and delivery craft.
  • Lead internal planning and alignment meetings to maintain momentum across programs.
  • Partner closely with Creative, Content, Operations, and Technology teams to strengthen workflows and outcomes.
  • Support recruiting and onboarding as the team expands.
  • Manage profitability, utilization, and forecasting across your account portfolio.
  • Ensure programs are scoped accurately and tracked clearly from beginning to end.
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine delivery models and introduce process improvements.
  • Track KPIs including retention, revenue expansion, delivery margin, velocity, and satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the evolution of SketchDeck’s delivery model and client experience.
  • Represent SketchDeck’s values—teamwork, humility, ownership, creativity, and heart—in every interaction.
  • Identify opportunities to elevate creative quality, enhance processes, and strengthen collaboration.
  • Stay curious and open to new tools, technologies, and creative approaches—including emerging capabilities in digital, automation, and AI‑assisted design.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of program, project, or account management experience in a creative, design, or marketing agency.
  • Proven success managing enterprise or Fortune 100 client relationships.
  • Experience working with Microsoft is a preference.
  • Demonstrated success delivering branding, campaigns, and integrated creative programs.
  • Strong creative understanding; able to review and provide constructive direction on design, branding, and campaign concepts.
  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills; confident partnering with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and supporting PM or delivery teams.
  • Strong financial acumen—including scoping, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability management.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (Asana, Monday.com, Teamwork, or similar).
