We are seeking candidates who are eager to adopt and champion our mission and values.Pay Range:$25.60 - $51.21 Hourly Job Description:**Primary Objective of Position**Responsible for instructing and/or coaching ice skating at the Plymouth Ice Center. **Major Areas or Responsibility:*** Ensure skating instruction is provided in accordance with the ISI progression program.* Support a successful skating program that engages participants and contributes to program growth. + Provide instruction to skaters of various ages and skill levels. + Ensure lessons are organized, engaging and focused on proper skating techniques. + Monitor the well-being and progress of all participants throughout lessons. + Maintain a safe, supportive and positive environment for all skaters.* Participate in strategic planning and program meetings.* Maintain open and effective communication with the Skating Director, coaches, participants, parents and arena staff. **Minimum Qualifications**:* Must be at least 16 years of age.* Must have successfully passed the skating level assigned to instruct.* Must be able to demonstrate all skills required for the level assigned to teach.* Must be available to work weekend hours.* Must be detail-oriented and organized.* Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.* Must demonstrate positive and effective communication skills with participants.* Must understand, or be able to learn, effective teaching techniques and proper skill progression.* Prior skating or teaching experience is preferred.
