Job summary

The City of Plymouth is seeking a Skate Instructor to teach ice skating at the Plymouth Ice Center. You will follow the ISI progression, accommodate skaters of diverse ages, and help grow the program while maintaining a safe, engaging environment.

Weekend availability is required, and experience in skating or teaching is preferred. This seasonal role focuses on quality instruction and positive participant experiences within a supportive arena team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must have passed the skating level assigned to instruct.
• Must be able to demonstrate all skills required for the level assigned to teach.
• Must be available to work weekend hours.
• Must be detail-oriented and organized.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Must demonstrate positive and effective communication skills with participants.
• Must understand, or be able to learn, effective teaching techniques and proper skill progression.
• Prior skating or teaching experience is preferred.
