Legacy Traditional Schools in Phoenix seeks a Social Studies Teacher to guide students through world and U.S. history and geography while fostering responsible citizenship and a global perspective.

You will deliver engaging lessons, assess curricular needs, collaborate with peers, maintain records, and participate in school events. A Bachelor's degree and SEI endorsement are required; travel between campuses is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• SEI Endorsement or ability to obtain.
• Must pass a criminal history background check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging instruction in world and U.S. history and geography.
• Identify and modify instructional resources for diverse learners and needs.
• Use direct instruction to promote social, physical and intellectual growth.
• Assess curricular needs and propose improvement plans.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate with families and colleagues.
• Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment.
• Model professional and ethical standards with students and community.
• Support student growth appropriate to age group and program.
• Participate in trainings and staff meetings.
• Meet deadlines and coordinate meetings as needed.
