GCI in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Software Engineer III to design, develop, test, and support software solutions that solve business problems and advance company goals.

You will work across the SDLC, estimate work, collaborate with project managers and analysts, and improve performance, security, and reliability of web applications, APIs, and integrations. The role requires strong knowledge of modern languages and RESTful services, with Agile and CI/CD familiarity.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Technologies, Systems Analysis, Engineering, or relevant field.
• Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in software development, configuration engineering, or similar technical role.
• Experience with multiple OS scripting languages and Web based scripting technology.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop/build and test applications, integrations, scripts, automations, and other software solutions that meet business objects and requirements, while adhering to the SDLC, security standards, development guidelines and best practices.
• Properly and accurately estimate, track, and document all development efforts to all departmental and team standards and specification requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts and other developers during scoping, requirements gathering and design phases.
