The Data Analyst - Journeyman (JNY) is responsible for analyzing structured and unstructured data to support decision‑making across USSOCOM. The role involves working with data sets from various sources to develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations that help leadership and operational teams gain actionable insights. The analyst will collaborate with database administrators, system engineers, and mission stakeholders to deliver high‑quality, data‑driven visualization solutions in support of SOCOM's mission.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience working with data tools and visualization platforms. This position requires familiarity with databases, data modeling, business intelligence (BI) tools, and basic programming to extract and transform data from multiple environments.
Duties include but are not limited to:
$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
