Job summary

YMCA of Naperville is seeking a Site Team Lead for youth development at our Naperville location. You will support positive youth development, lead staff, and oversee program quality including snacks, materials, and supplies.

You will also directly participate in curriculum implementation, staff guidance, and coordination with schools, families, and community partners to ensure successful outcomes. Part-time, on-site role at the Naperville facility.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and more than oldest child in program.
• Experience in childcare or education supporting high-quality programs.
• Ability to make decisions and communicate well with team, parents and children.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree in child development or ECE.

Responsibilities

• Implements program curriculum with staff and ensures DCFS and YMCA standards.
• Provides guidance to onsite staff on program quality standards.
• Leads and participates in staff meetings and planning.
• Engages parents/guardians and aligns activities with schools.
• Maintains program files and assists in events and promotions.
• Fills in for other staff as needed.

# Site Team Lead- Youth DeDSafe N Sound YMCA - Naperville, IL 60564## OverviewSalary Range$19.25 - $19.75 HourlyPosition TypePart Time## Description**Job Summary and Key Accountabilities:**The Site Coordinator ensures the implementation of positive youth development practices with all daily activities and interactions with children. The Site Coordinator is responsible for ensuring program quality including assisting in implementing curriculum, providing leadership and guidance to staff and overseeing the ordering and distribution of snacks, materials and all supplies needed to operate the program. They will also provide direct service, when necessary, to execute the program. **Scope of Responsibilities:*** Implements program curriculum with school-aged program staff while ensuring the program follows DCFS and YMCA standards.* Provides guidance to staff while onsite in adhering to program quality standards.* Facilitates collaboration with and between program staff including assisting in planning and leading program staff meetings.* Enhances parent/guardian/caregiver engagement and ensures that the program meets expectations for quality* Collaborates with teachers, principals and other staff at local schools to align and execute program activities and ensure program success.* Maintains and audits all program files according to DCFS and YMCA Standards.* Assists in development and execution of special events and seasonal school-aged programs, such as Day Camp, for members and program participants.* Participates in program marketing and retention activities.* Fills in for other staff as needed.Minimum and Preferred Requirements Knowledge, Skills and Abilities* Must be at least 21 years of age and/or 5 years older than the oldest child that participates in the program and meet program requirements for education and/or credentials.* Previous experience in a childcare or education setting supporting high-quality programs.* Must have capacity to make effective decisions and communicate well with team. parents and children* Preferred candidates will have an Associate’s degree in child development or early childhood education or the equivalent in child development, early childhood education or early childhood special education.* Must have at least a High School Diploma or equivalent and one of the following: 30 semester hours from an accredited college or university with 12 semester hours related to school age child care, child development, elementary education, physical education, recreation, camping or other related fields. In addition, 750 hours of professional experience in recreational program or licensed day care center serving school age children (K-5th) or a license exempt school age child care program operated by a private or public school.* 6 semester hours of credit from an accredited college or university related to school age child care, child development, elementary education, physical education, recreation, camping or other related fields. In addition, 1560 hours of professional experience in recreational program or a licensed day care center serving school age children or a license exempt school age child care (K-5th) program operated by a private or public school.
