Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio is seeking mission-minded Associates to join us as a full-time (37.5 hours per week) Site Supervisor to serve our patients at our Bedford Heights Surgical Health Center.

Summary

The purpose of this position is to assist in the management and daily operations of the health center; provides leadership to assist with supervising health center staff; assist in implementation of operational procedures; and delivery of high quality patient care and excellent customer service.

What You Will Do

  • Understands, commits to, and practices a customer-oriented approach services while identifying opportunities to improve cycle times and the patient experience through data collection and analysis.
  • Understands abortion care and supporting structures and processes.
  • Supports Practice Manager in efficient operations of health center, including clinic flow, patients scheduling, and achievement of goals.
  • Supports ordering process for monthly inventory by working with practice manager to complete inventory.
  • Assist with the completion of compliance reporting and audits to include confidential abortion reporting.
  • Promote an organizational culture that embraces respect, quality care, effective communication, teamwork, accountability, innovation, and responsibility.
  • Works with staff to provide a positive environment in which team members feel valued.
  • Works with Practice Manager to ensure unlicensed staff are adequately trained, by acting as a new hire preceptor.
  • Works with Practice Manager to evaluate and supervise health center staff, including daily operational leadership, training, development, goal setting and annual performance evaluation.
  • Provides direct patient care as scheduled, in compliance with all affiliate protocols and procedures, to include education and counseling patients, maintaining medical records and logs, scheduling patients and responding in a professional manner to the need of patients.
  • Practice and mentor a patient centered approach to the delivery of services; identify opportunities to improve cycle times and the patient experience through data collection and analysis.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of and participate in, and ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations pertaining to the operations of the Health Center including, OSHA, CLIA and ODH and their healthcare reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all medical support staff job responsibilities and lab duties. Provide direct care as scheduled.
  • Understand all FDA approved methods of birth control.
  • Familiar with health center funding sources, billing systems and medical coding.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and efficiency of documentation with EPIC EMR system.
  • Maintain accuracy in documentation in client’s medical record.
  • Sensitive to cultural and ethnic differences among staff and clients.
  • Maintain in collaboration with Facilities and Practice Manager the physical premise of the site.
  • Accept individual and joint responsibility for and lead the Health Center’s efforts to comply with all organizational quality assurance guidelines and all pertinent government regulations including OSHA and CLIA.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise center operations under direction of Practice Manager: create staff schedules and in accordance with PPGOH HR policies, manage inventory, proactively problem-solve

What You Will Bring

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2-5 years’ experience in healthcare directly with patients required.
  • At least 2 years’ management experience preferred
  • Meet all customer service standards and ensure Health Center Staff is meeting standards as well.
  • Understand overall financial and budget process; including self-pay, insurance billing, reimbursement, abortion access funds to include justice funding, or other federal, state, or private funds to support abortion services.
  • Capable of working in a busy environment, often under pressure, without compromising accuracy, attention to detail and customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Electronic Medical Records, and Payment Processing Systems.
