Job summary

BrightView is seeking a Site Supervisor to lead field operations at a designated customer site in Riverside, CA. The role requires guiding crews to meet quality standards and job specifications while coordinating with the Operations Manager to address client needs.

The ideal candidate will have landscape experience, a proven leadership record, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. Bi-lingual Spanish is preferred to support on-site communication.

Qualifications

• BrightView Equipment certifications required or preferred.
• Experience in a landscape-related field is required.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred for on-site communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a schedule and ensure service expectations are met.
• Identify and upscale customer problems or concerns to the Operations Manager.
• Assist in resolving issues with customer service when needed.
• Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with company policies.
• Communicate regularly with the Operations Manager to ensure client needs and expectations are met.
• Monitor site quality daily and ensure crews address deficiencies.
• Deliver services as specified on the client site.
• Coordinate service execution with the Operations Manager.
• Oversee day-to-day site operations and delegate work to crew team members.
• Provide Operations Manager feedback on crew members.
• Train and develop crew members with the Crew Leader/Operations Manager.
• Ensure preventative maintenance is performed and equipment is in good working order.
• Participate in branch meetings as directed.
• Log equipment usage and maintenance cycles.

Job Summary

• The Site Supervisor is a Crew Leader position that manages field operations for a specific customer and/or customer site daily, ensuring quality and job specifications are met.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a schedule and ensure service expectations are met
• Identify and upscale customer problems or concerns to the Operations Manager
• Assist in resolving issues with customer service when needed
• Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with company policies
• Communicate regularly with the Operations Manager to ensure client needs and expectations are consistently met or exceeded
• Monitor site quality daily and ensure crews are addressing deficiencies daily
• Deliver services as specified on the client site
• Work to identify more efficient ways to perform work
• Coordinate service execution with the Operations Manager
• Oversee day-to-day site operations and delegate work to crew team members
• Provide Operations Manager feedback on crew member(s)
• Work with the Crew Leader/Operations Manager, helping to develop and train crew members
• Ensure that preventative maintenance is performed as needed and that equipment is in good working order
• Participate in branch meetings as directed
• Ensure crew time is accurately captured.
• Log equipment usage and maintenance cycles

Education and Experience

• BrightView Equipment certifications
• Experience in a landscape-related field
• Demonstrated leadership among the team and with peers

Physical Demands/Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs. (mulch, fertilizer, etc.)
• Be at least 18 years old (21 if operating company provided vehicles)
• Possess strong stamina and have the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
• Able to safely operate landscaping equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers, edgers).
• Able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, stand, walk continuously throughout the day and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
• Able to perform manual labor using a variety of hand tools (e.g. shovels, rakes)
• You are able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (e.g., safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, hand protection, eye protection, hearing protection, head protection)
• Landscapers who will be operating a BrightView fleet vehicle are required to have a valid driver’s license and meet company standards as it relates motor vehicle performance identified on a state issued motor vehicle record check.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed.
• Ability to maintain, in your possession at all times, required medications to address any known allergic reactions should they occur.

Work Environment

• Ability to work outdoors/indoors in moderate to extreme weather conditions (e.g., temperatures more than 100°F, temperatures below 32°F, various levels of humidity)
• Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
• Work outdoors near automotive traffic, bodies of water, fumes, dust, mechanical and/or electrical hazards.
• Ability to work in environments where extended periods of loud noise are present.
• Ability to work in environments where exposure to allergens such as pollen and rag weed, insects such as bees and spiders and reptiles such as lizards and snakes.

Compensation Pay Range

20-22
