Job summary

SBM in Washington, DC seeks a Site Supervisor to safely coordinate activities within the assigned program and oversee company staff and temporary workers. You will inspect areas and equipment to ensure sanitation and OSHA compliance, train and supervise crew, and prepare routine reports.

Responsibilities include safety inspections, inventory tracking, PPE enforcement, and timely reporting to the manager. Some travel may be required; Spanish language skills are a plus in this diverse environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six months to one year related experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus for communication with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of employees within the program assigned.
• Train, supervise and instruct employees in tasks, safety, policies and procedures.
• Coordinate and monitor work activities; report safety issues.
• Write routine reports such as pass down, weekly, or monthly.
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance and repairs; monitor supplies.
• Ensure employees wear proper PPE and adhere to safety rules.
• Provide recommendations for corrective action and report to manager.
• Maintain records: training, inspections, attendance, metrics.
• Supervise and mentor staff; assist with interviewing and hiring as needed.

Site Supervisor# **Job Description:****Now Hiring: Site Supervisor- Washington, DC****Shift: Days, Variable M-F****Compensation: $65,000-$70,000** **Job Overview**The Site Supervisor will be responsible for safely coordinating activities within the assigned program. This includes the company employees and other temporary employees engaged in the program. The Individual will inspect areas, equipment, and working conditions to ensure compliance with sanitation and OSHA regulations. **Roles & Responsibilities**To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.* Perform duties of employees within the program assigned* Train, supervise and instruct employees in tasks, safety, policies, and procedures* Coordinate and monitors work activities, recommends training and discipline* Written reports, such as pass down, weekly, or monthly* Perform quality, service, and safety inspections* Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair* Track supplies and maintain inventory* Monitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment to assure safety compliance* Report employee personnel and customer issues to manager* Correct at risk behavior immediately, then report to the manager immediately* Provide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvement* Maintain records, i.e., training, inspections, attendance, and metric data* Familiar with supervisor responsibilities* Some travel may be required for this position **Qualification**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. May be required to be Forklift Certified**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*** Bilingual in Spanish a plus* Knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software* Good written and verbal skills, excellent customer service skills, training abilities, and time management skills* Problem solving, presentation, and coaching* Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence* Ability to effectively communicate to customers, contractors, or employees of organization. Use of forklifts and pallet jacks a plus. **Supervisory Responsibilities**Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; performance evaluations; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
