As a growing startup organization, this position requires an independent and resourceful professional who can take ownership of construction projects, coordinate directly with clients and other stakeholders, and contribute to establishing and improving the company's operations in Florida.

The ideal candidate combines strong field supervision experience with practical project coordination, problem-solving, procurement, and client relationship management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate construction projects from commencement through completion, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to client expectations.
  • Supervise daily construction site activities, subcontractors, tradespeople, suppliers, and other site personnel to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, daily work plans, and short-term look-ahead schedules to coordinate trades and meet project deadlines.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and scope-of-work documents to ensure accurate execution and identify discrepancies or potential issues.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, material installation, progress, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate material procurement, equipment rentals, deliveries, and subcontractor services to ensure resources are available when needed and costs remain competitive.
  • Monitor project labour, materials, equipment, and other expenses to maintain cost control and identify potential budget overruns.
  • Identify and resolve site issues, construction delays, scheduling conflicts, and unforeseen conditions, implementing practical solutions as required.
  • Communicate directly with clients, property managers, general contractors, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding project progress, site requirements, and outstanding issues.
  • Prepare and maintain daily site reports, progress updates, project schedules, budgets, change orders, RFIs, inspection records, progress photographs, and other project documentation.
  • Identify scope changes and additional work requirements, prepare supporting information and cost estimates, and coordinate approvals before proceeding with extra work.
  • Ensure construction activities comply with applicable building codes, permit requirements, OSHA regulations, and company health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Enforce site safety procedures, conduct regular safety checks, and address unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Manage deficiencies, inspections, corrective work, and project closeout activities to ensure completed work meets contractual and quality requirements.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and industry partners to support current operations and future business opportunities.
  • Assist with estimating, site assessments, proposals, and identifying opportunities for additional construction and renovation work.
  • Develop and maintain effective site procedures, vendor relationships, and operational practices to support the company's continued growth.
  • Represent SCG Group LLC professionally and maintain organized, safe, and productive construction sites.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction site supervision, construction coordination, or a similar field leadership role, preferably in restoration, interior renovations, multi-residential, commercial, or institutional construction.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently oversee construction projects and coordinate all aspects of daily site operations.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, building materials, trade coordination, and construction sequencing.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and scope-of-work documents.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, material procurement, project schedules, and site resources.
  • Working knowledge of project budgeting, cost tracking, estimating, and change order management.
  • Knowledge of construction safety practices, OSHA requirements, and applicable Florida construction regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
