Air Products is seeking a Site Supervisor for the Granite City, IL facility. You will support the Site Manager, lead the operations and maintenance team, and oversee air separation plant operations to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Responsibilities include supervising shift personnel, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining regulatory records while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet production and customer service goals. A strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Five years of operations/maintenance experience with strong ASU process knowledge preferred.
• Proven leadership skills with ability to motivate, coach, and develop operations personnel.
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Experience in safety, environmental stewardship, quality, and regulatory compliance.

• Support day-to-day plant operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance initiatives.
• Provide direct supervision for shift operations personnel and promote safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, PSM, environmental regulations, and quality standards.
• Deliver safety, environmental, operational, and quality training programs for staff.
• Coordinate with planning, operations, maintenance, and logistics to meet production goals.
• Identify equipment reliability and maintenance concerns; implement corrective actions.
• Assist planning and logistics to optimize inventory and ensure continuous product supply.

This role supports the Site Manager in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations while providing front-line leadership to the operations and maintenance team and developing a comprehensive understanding of site operations. The Granite City site consists of two Air Separation Units (ASUs), one Nitrogen Liquefier, one Pure Argon Purifier (PAR), associated pipelines serving offsite customers, and multiple large-volume liquid storage systems with pipeline backup and distribution capabilities. The primary focus of this role is overseeing air separation plant operations, providing team leadership, driving operational excellence, and maintaining regulatory and operational records. The expected pay range is $90,545- $125,670 plus bonus. This is the range that we reasonably expect to pay for this position as individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
