Qualifications

  • 3–5 years’ experience in the construction industry.
  • OSHA 10 Certification; OSHA 30 is a bonus.
  • Understanding of design and engineering of construction projects.
  • Knowledge of construction codes and facility engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight of daily field operations and construction progress while ensuring site safety and quality control.
  • Oversee construction contractors to ensure work meets plans, specs, standards, and codes.
  • Develop understanding of project strategy, scheduling, logistics, milestones, and inspections.
  • Maintain an updated project schedule with PM to meet cost and time requirements.
  • Provide construction progress reports and administrative support for project completion.
  • Maintain open dialogue with project team and occupants regarding changes and conditions.
  • Foster positive relationships with contractors and vendors and instill this approach in the team.

Job description

  • Provide oversight of daily field operations and construction progress while ensuring proper construction site safety and quality control standards are met.
  • Provide oversight of construction contractors to ensure that are completed according to plans and specifications that meet all applicable standards and codes.
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments including scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, and inspections.
  • Work in partnership with PM to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects the changes in project status and that meets the cost and time requirements of the project.
  • Provide construction progress reports to the PM and provide administrative support necessary for project completion.
  • Demonstrate and maintain effective and open dialogue with the project team and building occupants regarding changes in work, job conditions, contractor relations and any deviation in the direction of the project.
  • Promote positive relationships by dealing expertly and fairly with all general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors while instilling this philosophy in the project team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • A minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the construction industry.
  • OSHA 10 Certification: OSHA 30 is a bonus
  • Understanding of the design and engineering of construction projects.
  • Knowledge of construction activities including material, equipment, cost and time requirements to perform construction tasks.
  • Knowledge of construction codes.
  • A broad understanding of all facility engineering disciplines and building trades.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in presenting ideas written and orally are required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
  • Selected individual must possess ability to climb portable and permanent ladders, stairs, staging, work in confined areas, crawling over and aroundequipment and pipe found in mechanical rooms and similar locations.
  • Knowledge of various OSHA regulations such as: LO/TO, confined space, fall protection, wearing of PPE, etc. is required.

Hiring Range: $84,700- $112,200 Job Grade: ADM-IC3
