Job summary

SUMCO in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Site Services Maintenance Technician to keep production equipment running smoothly. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, calibrate and align systems, and support safety and housekeeping across the site.

This on-site role requires knowledge of semiconductor equipment (AMAT Epi reactors, ASM Epi reactors, Wet Benches) and 2–5 years of related experience, with an associate degree or technical schooling.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and clean room protocols.
• Associate degree or technical schooling with 2–5 years of related experience in wafer fabrication equipment.
• On-site presence at SUMCO Albuquerque.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all production-related equipment to standard operating conditions.
• Performs preventive maintenance and calibrations per specs.
• Troubleshoots equipment and processes; assists in problem resolution.
• Develops improvements to equipment and SOPs.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety across work areas.
• Supports training on equipment and processes.

Job description

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintains all standard operating conditions on assigned production-related equipment.
• Maintains and troubleshoots equipment, systems and processes to guideline specifications.
• Performs preventative maintenance on related equipment. Alignment and calibration must conform to internal and manufactures specification and equipment standards as made available.
• Assists in the resolution of equipment, systems or processes problems.
• Develop and/or enhance equipment, process or systems and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures as necessary.
• Maintains effective housekeeping and cleanliness throughout all assigned work areas and stations.
• Assists in training regarding equipment, systems and processes.
• Must have completed all company certifications and on the job training programs as required and approved by management.
• Read and follow the environmental and safety (EHS) requirements associated with assigned duties, complete required EHS training on time, wear prescribed personal protective equipment and report all hazardous situations they observe and any injuries or incidents they experience or become aware of.
• Participate in safety activities, drills and meetings as directed by supervision.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Skills Required:

Knowledge of Semiconductor manufacturing equipment (AMAT Epi reactors, ASM Epi reactors, Wet Benches), knowledge of clean room protocol, and ability to work with chemicals in a safe manner. Associate degree or Technical School graduate with 2 - 5 years of related experience in semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment or any equivalent combination of experience and education.

This position is an on-site position with an annual salary range from $30.00 to $35.00 depending on education and experience.
