Job summary

Patriot Group International LLC. is seeking an Unarmed Construction Security Officer to protect active construction sites across Stafford, Gainesville, or Leesburg, VA. The role includes gate duties, access control management, and 24/7 patrol operations on rotating day/night shifts.

Must meet licensing, background checks, and U.S. citizenship requirements. The position is full-time, non-exempt, with outdoor site work and a pay range of $17.75–$19.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; background check and drug screening
• Valid security guard license as required by state/local regulations
• U.S. Citizenship required; ability to pass pre-employment checks
• Experience preferred but not required; construction site security a plus
• Proficiency with electronic access control systems is desirable

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control the primary access point to the construction site during operational hours
• Verify identification of all personnel, visitors, and contractors against approved access lists
• Validate vehicle access permissions for authorized companies and individuals
• Operate movable traffic barriers to control ingress and egress
• Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic to entry points for validation
• Maintain accurate logs of all site entries and exits
• Enforce strict access control protocols at primary and alternative entry points
• Collaborate with the General Contractor to maintain current electronic access lists
• Conduct manual ID verification against government-issued identification
• Operate security systems as required
• Ensure only authorized personnel enter construction areas
• Staff alternative access points when deliveries or equipment movement are needed
• Conduct regular perimeter patrols during non-construction hours
• Monitor interior construction areas and maintain access control
• Perform randomized site inspections to detect unauthorized activity
• Document and report security incidents or safety concerns
• Respond to alarms and emergencies per established protocols
• Complete shift reports and incident documentation
• Coordinate with the General Contractor on access list updates
• Follow post orders and security procedures
• Communicate effectively with construction personnel and management
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times
• Other duties as assigned
