ANE Consulting is seeking a 2nd/Swing shift Site Safety Manager to support NYC DDC programs across four construction sites. You will monitor safety, verify regulatory compliance, document findings, and coordinate corrective actions with the Program Safety Manager and site teams.

The role requires an active NYC DOB SSM license, a Bachelor's in occupational health (or related field), and CSP or CIH credentials. Expect night shift work and overtime as needed.

• CSP and/or CIH certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant safety experience on construction projects.
• Strong reporting, incident investigation, and JHA review skills.

As part of a multi-year public infrastructure initiative, ANE is supporting AECOM–Hill JV NYC DDC multi-billion-dollar high-rise program,which involves the development of new borough-based jails in New York City to replace the Rikers Island complex.

About the Role

As 2nd/swing shiftSite Safety Manager, you will support the Program Safety Manager and project teams across four construction and demolition sites as part of the NYC DDC Rikers Program. This role focuses on monitoring site safety, verifying compliance with applicable regulations and project requirements, documenting findings, and coordinating corrective actions to help maintain safe working environments across ONE of four location options:Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, or south Bronx.

Key Responsibilities

• Submit a daily report documenting findings, applicable regulations, and corrective actions in LifeGuard or an equivalent system.
• Respond to incidents and review Design-Builder incident investigations and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
• Lead on-site safety review meetings and coordinate with the Program Safety Manager and site teams.
• Identify and flag safety noncompliance for immediate correction.
• Verify compliance with Health and Safety Plans and General Project Requirements.
• Monitor safety conditions across multiple construction and demolition sites, including the Queens Garage and Queens Trunk Water Main projects, detention facility dismantling in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens, and south Bronx site preparation.
• Coordinate safety observations, reporting, and follow-up activities with project teams.

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of relevant safety experience on construction projects.
• Active New York City Department of Buildings (DOB) Site Safety Manager (SSM) license; this position is not on a PW2.
• Bachelor's degree in occupational health or a similar field.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) credential.
• Strong reporting, incident investigation, and Job Hazard Analysis review skills.
• Ability to coordinate safety monitoring and compliance activities across multiple project sites.
• Willingness to work the night shift; some overtime may be required.
