The Site Safety Manager’s role is to work with the Team Safety to help us minimize the risk of job-related accidents, monitor operations to eliminate hazardous activities and develop policies to promote occupational health and safety awareness.
The following responsibilities are representative but not exhaustive. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Reports to the Senior Safety Manager. Works in close collaboration with Project Directors, Project Managers, Site Managers, Construction Superintendents, and Field Supervision across all active construction projects. The Site Safety Manager holds ultimate authority to halt work and enforce safety compliance on all Gallagher‑Kaiser project sites.
This role requires regular movement across active construction sites. The Site Safety Manager must be able to stand, walk, climb, and navigate physically demanding environments. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. may be required. The position involves exposure to outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, dust, fumes, elevated noise levels, and other construction-site hazards. Compliance with all site‑specific safety requirements — including PPE, drug/alcohol testing, hard hats, and steel‑toe footwear — is mandatory. Some office‑based work is required for documentation and reporting.
