Job summary

Unique Industries is seeking a Safety professional to design and manage the site safety program for the Montoursville, PA facility. Responsibilities include loss prevention, safety training, and SOP development to reduce risks and injuries.

You will lead investigations, conduct monthly inspections, maintain records, and collaborate with plant management and HR on claims and safety initiatives. A strong background in manufacturing safety and OSHA regulations is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or Industrial Hygiene with 3–5 years of relevant experience, or AA with 5–7 years.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desired.
• Certifications preferred: ASP or CSP, First Aid & CPR Instructor, First Aid & CPR qualified.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a Safety, Loss Prevention, and training program based on current processes and planned modifications.
• Organize and lead the plant Safety Committee and conduct audits.
• Investigate accidents and OSHA complaints and ensure proper corrective actions in line with OSHA requirements.
• Maintain OSHA logs and ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws.
• Collaborate with HR on Workers' Compensation claims and manage return-to-work programs.
