Job summary

Legence in Southern California seeks a Site Safety Supervisor to oversee safety and environmental compliance across mechanical construction projects in San Diego, Imperial, Riverside, and LA counties. The role emphasizes hazard identification, regulatory enforcement, and a culture of zero incidents.

You will conduct toolbox talks, perform JHAs, maintain logs, and coordinate with foremen to stop work when risks arise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction required; CSP (Certified Safety Professional)

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site walkthroughs to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Lead toolbox talks and safety trainings on fall protection, lockout/tagout, and confined space entry.
• Perform root-cause analyses for near-misses or incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain safety logs, permits, and OSHA 300 logs; review subcontractor safety plans.
• Maintain onsite first aid stations and AEDs and lead initial medical assessments as needed.
• Monitor silica dust, noise, and chemical hazards; ensure PPE usage.
• Perform Job Hazard Analyses and Pre-Task Plans with foremen.
• Administer safety incentive programs to promote a zero-incident mindset.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to support project needs.
