Qualifications

  • 5 years of safety management in supervising or managing general industry/construction/OM, including managing safety programs or processes or hazard analyses.
  • OSHA 30-hour General Industry certification required.
  • Maintained 8 hours of formal safety and health training annually for five years.
  • Preferred: Certified Safety, Environmental and Emergency Manager (CSEM) within 8 months of reporting.
  • Attending NFPA 101 healthcare, NFPA 99, and ASHE Healthcare Construction courses via ASHE within 2–3 days courses.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute site-specific occupational health and safety programs.
  • Audit the workplace for hazards, develop solutions, communicate them, and evaluate progress.
  • Evaluate hazardous conditions and recommend controls or PPE.
  • Responsible for accident prevention programs including weekly safety briefings.
  • Schedule, coordinate and deliver safety training; maintain training records.
  • Investigate incidents to determine causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Prepare incident and accident reports for OSHA and other regulators.
  • Facilitate and execute Company Safety Program and Culture.
  • Coordinate workers’ compensation cases with corporate and insurance personnel.
