Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Site Safety Health Officer to oversee safety and compliance on a large USACE project in Tracy, California. The role requires leading safety orientations, implementing APP and AHAs, and coordinating documentation with project leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Lead mandatory site safety orientations for all incoming field personnel, subcontractors, and visitors. Facilitate daily or weekly toolbox safety meetings
• Implement and enforce the site-specific Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs)
• Maintain the daily safety log, track safety training records, and submit all required safety documentation to the Project Manager and Quality Manager
• Conduct daily safety and health inspections of all work areas, machinery, tools, and personal protective equipment (PPE) to identify and correct hazards
• Serve as the first line of response for site incidents. Conduct thorough root-cause investigations for all accidents or near-misses and coordinate corrective actions

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• 5+ years of experience with safety supervision
• Experience with USACE projects
• EM-385-1 & OSHA 30 Certification
• Must be able to pass a government background check

Compensation Package:

• Salary Range: 140k-155k
