Job summary

The ideal candidate has an associate or bachelor’s in safety-related field, 2+ years of experience, knowledge of OSHA/EPA/DOT regulations, and preferred CSP/CIH certifications. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of safety-related experience.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations with emphasis in construction.
• CSP, CIH, CHST, OHST, CUSP, or similar certification preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• All candidates agree to complete an assessment for selection and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Provide safety training on fall protection, equipment use, emergencies, and hazard communication.
• Create and maintain site safety plans, job hazard analyses, and risk assessments.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses to determine causes and prevent recurrence.
• Ensure construction activities comply with OSHA, EPA, DOT and company policies.
• Oversee PPE use and maintenance.
• Maintain records of inspections, incidents, training, and safety documentation.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Develop and communicate emergency response plans and train workers.
• Promote safety culture and encourage hazard reporting.
• Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to integrate safety into projects.
