Airswift is seeking a Site Safety Advisor for a LNG construction project in Port Arthur, TX. The role focuses on developing and maintaining effective EHS programs to ensure compliance with legal and project requirements on a busy site.

Qualifications

Site Safety Advisor Duration: 12 months (possibility of extension) Location: Port Arthur, TX Rotation: 5/50

Position Overview: This position supports environmental, health and safety activities for a major LNG construction project site. The role is focused on helping to develop, implement and maintain effective EHS program while promoting compliance with applicable legal and project requirements. This opportunity will suit a technically strong safety professional with construction and industrial experience who can provide practical site-based guidance and oversight. The role also supports continuous improvement in safety performance through monitoring, investigation, reporting and training activity.

Role Context

This opportunity is connected to Phase 1 of an LNG project and is based within a construction-led environment where health, safety and environmental performance is critical to successful project delivery. The role operates across site activities involving contractor and subcontractor oversight, engagement with project and construction leadership, and support for regulatory compliance within an industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide EHS support across site activities and coordinate with operations, project and construction stakeholders on safety-related matters.
  • Monitor contractor and subcontractor activities to support compliance with applicable health and safety regulations and project guidelines.
  • Review EHS plans, program and related documentation for alignment with project requirements and legal obligations.
  • Identify potential EHS compliance risks that may affect project delivery and support development of practical resolution strategies.
  • Carry out inspections, support accident and incident investigations, track safety performance data and prepare required reports.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, program and manuals related to environmental, health and safety needs.
  • Participate in the delivery of safety training for employees and support engagement with relevant regulatory representatives where required.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in EHS preferred, or equivalent study in a related field required.
  • At least 5 years of construction and/or industrial safety experience required.
  • At least 5 years of environmental and safety program management experience within construction environments required.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state and local health and safety regulations and the ability to apply them in a site-based setting.
  • Ability to produce accurate reports, analyze information and work with detailed documentation and spreadsheets.
