Job summary

Jobtailor in Reston, VA, seeks a seasoned SRE/DevOps engineer to monitor AWS Commercial/GovCloud and EKS, lead incident response, and ensure FedRAMP compliance for a secure cloud platform.

You will automate deployments with GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, and Argo Workflows, analyze logs with Kibana/Elasticsearch, and perform CVE remediation and STIG hardening within FedRAMP SLAs, requiring US citizenship and on-site availability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in SRE, DevOps, systems administration, or cloud support.
• Solid Linux administration with RHEL, Amazon Linux, and Ubuntu.
• Bash/Python scripting abilities.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes/EKS and AWS core services.
• L4/L7 load balancing troubleshooting.
• Experience with Prometheus and Grafana.
• ChatOps via Slack.
• US citizenship and US soil residency.
• Genuine availability for overnight/weekend rotational shifts.
• FedRAMP suitability and eligibility to work in a FedRAMP Moderate-authorised environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform real-time monitoring and first-response triage across AWS Commercial/GovCloud and EKS infrastructure.
• Investigate root causes at the log level using Kibana and Elasticsearch.
• Execute CVE remediation and STIG hardening within FedRAMP SLA windows.
• Execute and troubleshoot deployments through GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, and Argo Workflows.
• Distinguish operational blips from security breaches and act on incidents.
• Support reliable operations of a FedRAMP-authorised cloud platform.
