Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to design, operate, and scale Starshield software and GPU infrastructure for national security missions. You will deploy on-premise compute resources, automate AI-friendly clusters, and collaborate across engineering teams to deliver highly available systems.

Role requires TS/DOE level clearance readiness, strong Linux and Kubernetes expertise, and hands-on development in Python/C++/Go.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in CS/IT/engineering or related field.
• 1+ years of professional experience with Linux.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other infrastructure tools.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Kubernetes).
• Scripting in Bash, Python, or similar.
• Development experience in Python, C++, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Manage GPU/CPU infrastructure deployments to Top Secret data centers.
• Manage and provide support for GPU as a service on bare metal and virtualized platforms.
• Design, validate, and productize AI clusters at scale (100k+ GPUs).
• Develop automation to deploy and manage on-premise Kubernetes/AI clusters and OS.
• Deploy and manage databases, monitoring and distributed storage.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to deliver scalable, operable products.
• Monitor and improve service availability and lifecycle.
