Job summary

Saulsbury Industries is seeking a Site Quality Manager in Wyoming. The role focuses on inspections and enforcing quality controls to meet design and customer requirements, while mitigating risk through a quality-focused environment.

The candidate will oversee QA/QC staff, coordinate third-party testing and documentation, and ensure compliance with industry codes and project requirements. CWI preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years experience in QA/QC in a heavy industrial oil and gas setting.
• Extensive knowledge of quality control requirements in the energy sector.
• Strong scheduling and multi-activity management abilities.
• Proficient with computers and quality software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience leading project teams and coordinating inspections.

Responsibilities

• Interpret multi-discipline quality requirements and guide inspection, testing, and quality services.
• Coordinate third-party testing agencies, welder qualifications, NDE, and documentation.
• Review and complete quality-related reports and documentation.
• Track welding progress using MaxTrax.
• Ensure project-specific quality requirements for civil, concrete, soil, environmental, safety, and turnover.

General Information/Job Summary

The Site Quality Manager will be responsible for Inspections, and inspection staff with an emphasis on practical application of codes to achieve cost-effective compliance with design and customer requirements. The Site Quality Manager mitigates risk by sponsoring a quality conscious work environment supported by core competencies and rigorous process controls.

Responsibilities

• Effectively interprets multi-discipline engineering and quality requirements and provides technical guidance for inspection, testing and quality service activities.
• Coordinates or designates Third Party Testing agencies, welder qualifications, NDE and maintaining documentation.
• Review and/or complete all necessary quality related reports and documentation.
• Track welding progress using MaxTrax program.
• Project-specific civil, concrete, soil, environmental, safety, NDE, hydrostatic testing, turnover, and client quality requirements.
• CWI Required

Requirements

• Experienced in Quality Assurance / Quality Control data center to include minimum of five (5) years previous experience with a preferred CWI in a similar role in the Heavy Industrial Oil and Gas industry.
• Extensive knowledge of quality control requirements in the energy sector.
• Ability to schedule multiple activities.
• Knowledge and use of computers and software packages.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills at a high level.
• Ability to manage and participate in project teams.
• Initiative and creative problem-solving skills.
• High level of commitment to project industrial safety.
• Support goal of Quality, Safety and Productivity working together harmoniously.
• Support Teamwork concept with operations group with QAQC training at supervisor level.
• Extensive knowledge of ASME / ACI / D1.1 Codes.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to walk the property and laydown yards.
• Ability to carry up to 50 pounds.
