Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Site Procurement Manager for its Fulfillment Center team in Michigan. You will bridge centralized Procurement and building leadership, owning the site’s indirect procurement, vendor management of third-party providers, PO handling, and inventory control to drive efficiencies.

You will lead supplier KPI reporting, collaborate with Finance and Operations, and implement best practices across multiple Michigan sites while traveling as needed in a warehouse

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Excel or Tableau experience.
• 2+ years of supply chain experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years Amazon experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Provide procurement operations support for fulfillment centers, including managing suppliers, non-inventory labor, flow models, cycle counts, inventory management, and procurement transactions.
• Ensure compliance with KPIs, measure and benchmark procurement processes.
• Develop expertise in non-inventory items and share best practices across buildings.
• Build relationships across the network and train Operations, Transportation, Facilities, and Safety teams on procurement processes.
• Collaborate with Finance and internal teams to understand budgets and measure savings and category metrics.
• Monitor supplier performance with scorecards and audit tools; drive improvements across categories like janitorial, food service, pest control, landscaping, PPE, and waste management.
• Ensure 3P suppliers comply with site contracts and SLA terms; track savings and standardize practices.
• Partner with AP and internal teams to resolve vendor payment issues and support Procure-to-Pay and local sourcing.

Description

As a Site Procurement Manager for the Amazon Fulfillment Center team, you will serve as the bridge between centralized Procurement and the building leadership. You will own the site’s indirect procurement operation responsibilities at a site level, including vendor management of 3rd party service providers, purchase order management, and inventory management. You will lead supplier management KPI and metrics reporting, and work with stakeholders to find and understand deviation and improvement areas. You will provide procurement leadership and align with the building leadership team to drive efficiencies and improvements at the site(s).

Key job responsibilities

• Provide procurement operations support for fulfillment centers, including managing suppliers (goods and services), non-inventory labor, flow and space models, cycle counts, inventory management, and procurement transactions.
• Ensure compliance with organizational KPIs, working with the non-inventory team to measure, control, and benchmark procurement processes.
• Develop expertise in non-inventory items and collaborate with similar buildings to implement best practices.
• Build relationships across the network, ensuring the sharing and implementation of best practices. This includes training teams such as Operations, Loss Prevention, PXT, Transportation, Facilities Management, and Safety on procurement processes.
• Work with internal teams, Finance, and Procurement Operations to understand budgetary targets and establish methods for measuring savings, value, and category metrics.
• Assist Finance and internal teams in determining budgets and managing blanket POs.
• Monitor supplier performance using tools such as supplier scorecards and Global Audit Tools for 3P suppliers. Collaborate with Category and Global Supplier Management to drive improvements across categories like janitorial, food service, pest control, landscaping, snow removal, water coolers, PPE, and waste management.
• Ensure 3P suppliers comply with site-level contracts and service terms, including SLA response times.
• Track and measure savings performance, developing action plans to meet goals and reduce waste in FC procurement processes. Standardize best practices across the network.
• Collaborate with both internal teams and suppliers to develop innovative procurement solutions that support Operations.
• Implement methods to track supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with AP, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve vendor payment issues promptly.
• Support Procure-to-Pay execution and local sourcing activities to meet business needs.
• Assist the centralized Procurement team (GPCS) and Global Procurement Organization (GPO) pillars, including ProcOps, Category, Supplier Diversity, Supplier Management, Procurement Excellence, Reusables, Technology, and PMO.
• Work in a warehouse environment, requiring frequent walking and adaptability to varying temperatures due to open dock doors.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by your manager
• This position requires regular travel to assigned site(s); travel distances may exceed 50 miles depending on business needs.

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) experience
• 2+ years of supply chain experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with supplier or vendor relationship management
• Experience in procurement
• Experience with project management
• Experience in Coupa or other financial management/procurement software
• Experience with cost accounting
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma
• Must be highly self-motivated and customer-centric
• Ability to work with ambiguity
• Provide a positive customer experience internally and externally

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
