Qualifications

• Safety management expertise for high-risk environments including rail cars and heavy equipment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to perform in dirty, dusty outdoor environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related discipline; equivalent work experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Drive a safety-first culture in accordance with OSHA standards and site safety policies.
• Oversee safe operations involving rail cars, heavy machinery, and high-risk equipment.
• Maintain a strong field presence to coach and correct operations for safety and efficiency.
• Lead a unionized workforce, maintaining labor relations while ensuring productivity.
• Collaborate with mill leadership, subcontractor management, and safety teams to meet operational objectives.
• Manage costs and profitability while achieving safety and productivity targets.
