Job summary

Faulconer Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Superintendent to lead field operations on heavy civil projects.

You will oversee safety, planning, productivity, schedule adherence, quality control, and coordination with subcontractors and suppliers, while maintaining strong customer relations and aligning with company values. You will drive planning through daily huddles, look-ahead schedules, and milestone tracking, ensure accurate field reporting, and mentor crew members to meet

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to conform to shifting priorities with analytical problem-solving.
• Willingness to learn and apply new construction technologies (Heavyjob, Viewpoint, Procore, iAuditor).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe work practices are followed by all employees and subs.
• Participate in project planning meetings (Kick-off, Progress, Post-Project Review).
• Create and communicate short-interval look-ahead schedules aligning with the master CPM schedule.
• Ensure Daily Huddles are conducted by foremen.
• Communicate material, equipment, and labor needs to the project manager.
• Maintain daily paperwork: timecards, field reports, schedule updates, emails.
• Report production accurately and monitor budgets, production and schedule.
• Oversee self-performed work and manage changes within the contract scope.
• Coordinate RFIs and changes with the client’s on-site representative.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety requirements.
• Direct and mentor the project staff and field crews.
• Schedule inspections and document quality aspects of work.
• Manage punch lists and project closeout to ensure timely completion.
• Comply with local, state, and federal standards and project specs.
