Job summary

5C Data Centers in Phoenix is seeking an experienced Site Operations Director to oversee day-to-day data center functions, driving safety, availability, and customer satisfaction across North America.

You will lead 20+ personnel and vendors, manage budgets, and partner with engineering, controls, and operations to deliver operational excellence and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of leadership experience managing operational teams.
• 8+ years of experience supporting mechanical and electrical infrastructure systems.
• Experience in mission-critical environments such as data centers, hospitals, utilities, power generation, or industrial facilities.
• Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and third-party vendors.
• Strong financial and operational management experience, including budget oversight and vendor contract management.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Teams.

• Ensure 100% uptime and high availability of mechanical and electrical systems through proactive leadership and strategic planning.
• Develop and manage site-specific OPEX and CAPEX budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
• Ensure adherence to safety, security, and environmental regulations, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the creation, tracking, and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs), driving operational insights and results.
• Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders at the site, fostering strong customer relationships.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including construction, engineering, controls, and customer operations to support growth and innovation.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and development of site personnel, ensuring a high-performance team environment.

• Experience in mission-critical environments such as data centers, hospitals, utilities, power generation, or industrial facilities.


• Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and third-party vendors.
