Job summary

The Accountant role at Florida Canyon Mining, Inc. reports to the Site Controller and ensures the integrity of financial records while overseeing liquidity, vendor approvals, and banking relations at the Florida Canyon mine site near Winnemucca, Nevada.

Responsibilities include month-end close, inventory cost monitoring, SAP master data, 1099 compliance, AP control reviews, and building real-time dashboards using Vena to inform site leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• 3 years of professional accounting experience, mining preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas and dashboards.
• Experience with SAP and Vena is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger & Month-End: perform month-end close with journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Operational accounting: monitor inventory costs and analyze variances against budget.
• 1099 compliance and SAP master data management: maintain vendor data and IRS filings.
• Accounts payable controls review: validate SAP transactions and documentation.
• Audit & compliance: support SOX compliance and coordinate with external auditors.
• Data visualization: develop dashboards and trend analyses using Vena.
