Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is hiring a Site Manager for our Memphis, TN dry mix concrete plant. The role leads a production team, manages budgets, safety, and production flow, and is accountable for bottom-line results.

The site requires a strong leader with planning and P&L experience, capable of coordinating with multiple departments to meet financial and quality goals while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 10 years of progressive related experience.
• Experience in planning, negotiation and organization.
• Prior P&L experience and strong leadership with a team mindset.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule production activities; supervise the production process.
• Oversee maintenance of equipment and manage downtime; maintain preventive maintenance.
• Manage inventory controls, counts and audits.
• Commit to health, safety, quality, productivity, and environmental standards.
• Estimate production costs; uphold high quality and customer service.
• Monitor product standards and implement quality control programs.
• Maximize use of transportation and logistics resources.
• Collaborate with suppliers, sales and customers to meet goals.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, regulations, and financial returns.

Job Summary

The Site Manager will be responsible for leading a production team and managing all aspects of a fast paced Dry Mix concrete manufacturing facility. Daily duties include monitoring daily key point measures, budgets, safety, production flow and material costs. In this role, the Site Manager will have responsibility and accountability for bottom line results.

Job Location

This is an onsite position located at our Memphis, TN plant.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning and scheduling production activities, and supervising the production process
• Oversees maintenance of all equipment including managing downtime and ability to maintain a preventative maintenance program
• Responsible for inventory control, counts and audits
• Strong commitment to health, safety, quality, productivity, housekeeping, maintenance and environmental compliance
• Estimating production costs, maintaining high quality standards and ensuring good customer service
• Monitor product standards and implement quality control programs
• Responsible for maximizing the use of transportation/logistics
• Working with different departments (e.g. suppliers, sales, customers) effectively to execute the policies and goals of the organization
• Ensure compliance with SOX rules and regulations
• Ensure the business meets expected financial returns
• Ensures compliance with all local and federal environmental regulations
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree; or equivalent of ten years of progressive related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is a plus
• Experience in planning, negotiating and organizational skills
• Prior P&L experience
• Strong leadership skills while maintaining a team atmosphere
• Solid computer skills and written/oral communication
