Job summary

Google LLC in Papillion, Nebraska is seeking a Site Lead, Data Center Operations within Facilities Management to oversee the daily operations of our data center facilities. You will manage senior technical teams, ensure reliability, safety, and compliance while driving efficiency and cost-effective solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a technical field and 12 years of leadership experience with electrical, mechanical, and controls infrastructure, plus 3 years developing managers.

Responsibilities

• Direct efforts to ensure data center compliance with project guidelines and design standards.
• Oversee monitoring of data center systems operations, control site activities to minimize risk, and ensure effective response to excursions.
• Oversee efforts to ensure all sites follow facility, maintenance, and standard programs globally while improving said policies.
• Develop strategies to keep operational costs to a minimum, improve efficiency, and reduce environmental impact at a site.
• Incorporate domain expertise to deliver improved data center design for next-generation facilities.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $205000 - $285000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

• Direct efforts to perform compliance activities for a data center and analyze compliance results for data centers globally. Ensure regional and global teams are complying with project/schedule guidelines and Google design standards.
• Oversee efforts to monitor data center systems operations, control site activities to minimize risk, and to ensure effective response to any excursions.
• Oversee efforts to ensure all sites are following facility, maintenance, and standard programs globally while exhibiting strength in improvement to said policies and programs.
• Oversee the development of strategies to keep operational costs to a minimum, improve efficiency, and reduce environmental impact at a site, along with driving site-level development of programs and initiatives.
• Incorporate domain expertise and experience to deliver an improved data center design to optimize equipment and operations for next generation data centers.
