Job summary

NY State Solar seeks a Site Inspector to meet with the DOB inspectors on site a half hour before the scheduled appointment, open electrical equipment, verify work integrity and code compliance, and document results.

The role is full-time and in-person, offering hourly pay and comprehensive benefits including medical, vision & dental insurance, FSA, 401(k) with up to 6% match, paid training, PTO, and disability coverage.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Basic electrical knowledge is required.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with the DOB inspectors on site a half hour before the scheduled appointment.
• Open existing electrical equipment.
• Verify work integrity and code compliance.
• Correct any issues before the inspection starts if any.
• Rectify issues that can be addressed the inspector identifies at the time of inspection.
• Write up an email with results of the inspection and any work to make it compliant.
