-Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Plant Operations Lead for our sand and gravel facility in the United States. You will oversee daily operations, manage site personnel and equipment, and drive safety and efficiency across production processes.
Your role includes monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and partnering with maintenance and logistics to ensure reliable plant performance and customer satisfaction.

Lead daily sand and gravel plant operations to meet production, quality, safety, and environmental objectives. Coordinate and direct site personnel, equipment, and resources to maximize operational efficiency. Promote and maintain a strong safety culture through coaching, inspections, and compliance with company policies. Monitor production performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with maintenance, transportation, and management teams to ensure reliable plant performance and customer satisfaction.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, prioritize work, and drive results in a fast-paced production environment. Strong knowledge of aggregate, construction materials, or similar industrial operations. Proven commitment to safety leadership, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. Effective communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to build positive working relationships. Capability to analyze operational data, manage resources, and support continuous improvement efforts.
Primarily based at a sand and gravel production facility with both indoor and outdoor work environments. Regular interaction with heavy equipment, mobile machinery, and production processes. Requires walking, standing, climbing, and working in varying weather and environmental conditions. May require occasional extended hours, weekend work, or on-call support to meet operational needs.
Hourly $26-$28/hr
